STRIVING FOR SUCCESS: Angela Liu ‘26 proudly holds her scholarship check with Christy Fanous, Southern California Edison Vice President of customer experience and performance. Liu was surprised during her class with the award and kind messages from staff members. “I was so surprised when the Edison Company representatives showed up in my 4th period AP Chemistry class to give me the award,” said Liu. “I couldn’t stop smiling.”

STATE SUCCESS: The WHS girls soccer team hoists the CIF–State Division II finalists trophy after an overtime loss against San Ramon Valley High School in the first–ever California soccer state championships. The 2026 CIF-State Southern California Division II regional champions marked the furthest run in WHS program history, despite losing their leading goal–scorer due to international duty.
