Savannah Gifford, Graphics Editor
“My name is Savannah Gifford, and I’m a student journalist with the Westlake Wire”- is how most people who’ve never met me for anything but the newspaper know me, but there’s more to the story! I’m Savannah, I’m a junior and this is my second year both on staff at the Wire and as our graphics editor. I joined the Wire because I have a fundamental belief that everyone has a right to easily accessible information — and why not start learning how to make that happen in high school? When I’m not spending my time working on formatting for the Wire, I’m likely listening to one of my three favorite bands on loop or studiously developing one of my innumerable character design projects. I’m so excited to be back for another year!
