Hi! My name is Jessica Itkin and I’m a staff writer for the Westlake Wire. I’m currently a sophomore and this my first year on staff. Originally, I had no plans to join the newspaper, however, after taking the Journalism CP class, I decided to join because of my newly learned love for graphic design, photography and writing things I believe in. Because of this, I am also in WHS’s yearbook class and find both to be great opportunities for enhancing my high school experience and meeting new people. As of now, my decision to join the newspaper has allowed me to grow out of my comfort zone and improve my writing skills while expressing myself on paper. Outside of school and during breaks, I enjoy baking and hanging out with friends, going to the snow, and especially skiing.
